“I’ve met so many wonderful PETA members all over the country! I want to make them all feel personally connected to PETA.”

Jannette is the perfect ambassador for animals. Her devotion to them is evident in everything that she does and has continued to do, without wavering, since the time she asked her fifth-grade classmates to sign a petition against cruel Canadian seal hunts.

She is constantly working with members to maximize their efforts in behalf of animals. She assisted member Jeanne Daniels in converting her mall, the Tarrytown Shopping Center in Austin, Texas, into a cruelty-free shopping area that promotes cruelty-free lifestyles. As a crowning glory, “V.I.P.,” PETA’s famous fiberglass “Very Important Pig,” with quotes like James Cromwell’s, “We don’t need to eat anyone who would run, swim, or fly away if he could,” has taken up residence there.

Jannette says, “My goal is to increase PETA’s membership and support so that we can fight more important lifesaving battles and win! Recently, we’ve established ‘The President’s Circle,’ a special club to honor our most generous members, and it is my goal to see it grow in the coming years.”
